  The Flying Lead Saddle Club

Arena Rules

Flying Lead Saddle Club is providing the following set of rules to ensure the safest environment possible. We want everyone to enjoy our facility, however, safety is our number one priority. You will be expected to know and follow these rules at all times.
**ONLY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO USE THE ARENA DURING OPEN RIDE TIME**

1. Always leave gates as you find them. Gates are to keep things in, and, to keep things out. A good rule of thumb is to leave everything exactly as you find it.
2. Do not feed any horse anything with out asking permission. Horses are fed on a set schedule. Anything other than horse food can make a horse very sick. (Candy bars, hotdogs, gum, etc., are not horse foods.)
3. Never approach or pet any horse without asking permission or having owner supervision. A horse has teeth and may bite; a horse has back legs and may kick.
4. You should never tie a horse without owner supervision. Horses must be tied properly in designated areas only and must never be tied with bridle reins.
5. There will be no running or playing around the area where the horses are tied.
6. Dispose of your own trash in proper trash containers.
7. The speed limit around the arena property for any motorized vehicle is 5 mph and will be strictly enforced.
8. All persons are politely asked to exhibit acceptable sportsman like behavior at all times. Anyone or any group that exhibits un-acceptable behavior will be required to leave.
9. Flying Lead Saddle Club welcomes all visitors and you may bring guests, however, you are responsible for teaching your guests these arena rules and supervising them.
10. Please treat other horses and riders the way you would like to be treated.
11. Non-members are not allowed to ride on the property, due to liability.
12. All dogs must be on a leash.
13. No rock throwing, or shouting around the horses
14. Do not cut another rider off when passing, pass at least two horse lengths apart
15. All riders should come to a halt if a rider falls off his/her horse. This will calm the loose horse making him/her easier to catch. And will eliminate another horse stepping on the fallen rider.
16. Always try to keep at least 2 horse lengths apart from another horse. To ensure the safety of yourself from getting kicked.
17. Balloons, firecrackers and other potentially noise-making items are prohibited
18. Flying Lead has a zero tolerance policy for abuse of any animal or person. For example, we consider it abuse to use any kind of whip or spur that leaves marks on your horse.
19. Do not, under any circumstances go through another owners tack box or personal belongings or borrow equipment or supplies without permission. Borrowing without permission is stealing!
20. Riders using equipment such as jumps, barrels or poles must remove equipment from the arena and store it in designated areas after using it, unless otherwise specified by management. If there are riders already in the arena, please ask them before setting up
21. All manure and hay/shavings MUST be picked up by your trailers.
22. All manure needs to be cleaned in/out of the arena.
23. Children 10 and under are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.
24. Boots and Jeans are required.
25. Please respect others.
26. No riding beyond parking lot towards baseball fields
27. If under 18 you MUST have Adult supervision to ride at arena
